Official US Guidelines advise a maximum of 40g refined sugar for every 2000 calories consumed. This equates to 8 percent of calories.  An approximate daily intake is around 2000 calories for women and 2500 for men although this very much depends on your current BMI, age and amount the of exercise you take.</description>
